5Prints great X-rays
By ChirpingBirdy
We bought this printer to make hard copies of dental X-rays. It replaced a $1,000+ Xerox printer. The staff is very happy with it, they say the print quality is much better than the old Xerox, but it does take about 90 seconds to print a full page glossy X-ray at maximum quality. The old Xerox would take about 10 seconds to print the same image.

If high photo quality and fast business printing are a must I would look elsewhere, but if you can wait 60 to 90 seconds for a full page highest quality photo print - it is a great printer and well perfectly in our office.

5Fantastic All-in-one for me
By RFS the 4th
I replaced a canon s900 that was acting up. I decided to stay with Canon and I wanted a wireless photo printer. I thought it would be nice to have the copy and scan features too. Well, I couldn't be happier with my choice. Although I had to apply a firmware and software upgrades right away, I am happy that I can print from all my devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook pro, Mac mini) wirelessly. The only problem I have is that after a while of non-use the printer will disappear from my network (I don't think this is a printer problem). I just go into one of my devices (like my iPhone) and turn Wifi off and then on again... and the printer will show up. I like the touch feature and all the menus are fairly easy to understand. The two paper trays make it easy to switch between plain paper and photo printing. I'm not bothered by noise or warm-up time... some might be. It's a fairly large machine... but I was able to replace my older printer and my scanner - saving room. I haven't had it long enough to determine how long the ink tanks last. Guess I'll find out. A big ah-ha moment came when I took a flyer that was on my door and stuck it in the printer and hit copy... I ran around the house saying, "Oh my God! It makes color copies!". I never had that feature at home before... and it did it so quickly. I don't use my printer all the time... but when I do I want a good one. I'm glad I picked the MG8220.

5canon is superior!
By Ward J. Lamb
This wireless printer has an easy to use pop up display that is attractive and eay to follow. It is a stylish unit and can be used from anywhere in the house.I have always liked Canon color quality, and with this very cool unit, there is no exception.Connecting it to my several computers was a snap, and everyone comments on the speed and quality of the photo printing.I love it's Scanning ,and like the printing it has very high dpi resolution choices. I use this unit for slide scanning and negative editing as well. I like that feature. It is up to date with all current technology, making printing from different cards and sources a pleasure. The built in cd dvd printer is a fantasiic addition,as well as the ability to scan individual images from hd stills! Love these options! hooray Canon.
